About Greg Whitecliffe and the Collection

Greg Whitecliffe (1954-2001) was a prolific artist, educator and entrepreneur. Co-founder of the highly regarding Whitecliffe College of Arts & Design.

Greg's mixed Māori (Te Arawa - Ngāti Pikiao) and English/Scottish ancestry has profoundly impacted his works. He painted landscapes, portraits and figurative works.

The Whitecliffe Art Collection also features work from his students and influences that were accumulated during his life.
